The Spark Starts at School

At the Ministry of School Arts™, we believe in the transformative power of school arts. The arts are an essential part of every pupil’s education and personal growth and this belief is the driving force behind everything we do.

Through our initiatives, we aim to celebrate excellence, inspire passion, and provide opportunities for pupils, teachers, and schools to shine on both national and international stages.

Join us as we champion the future of school arts. Together, we can make a difference—one performance, workshop, and conference at a time.

The work we do…

The National School Theatre Awards® is a prestigious ceremony dedicated to honouring outstanding full- and part-time school productions. It celebrates talent and acknowledges the dedication behind these productions, highlighting the hard work invested in them. This platform provides pupils with a unique opportunity to showcase their skills and gain recognition from industry professionals. Our categories cover a range of disciplines, including acting, dance, singing, and design, and we welcome entries from maintained and Independent schools, as well as part-time schools, across the country. These awards aim to inspire and encourage the next generation of young theatre professionals, regardless of their educational setting.
